Terms of Service

We may modify these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date and post the revised Terms within the Services. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts at any time if we believe a user is in violation of these Terms or presents a risk to the safety or integrity of the platform.

Stars Align provides astrology-informed dating and compatibility tools, including profile creation, matching features, messaging, astrological chart interpretations, and related content. The Services may include automated systems and algorithms that generate compatibility scores, recommendations, or insights based on information you provide and your activity within the platform.

These outputs are informational and entertainment-based tools designed to support personal reflection and connection. They do not constitute professional, psychological, legal, or relationship advice and should not be relied upon as guarantees of outcomes.

You are solely responsible for the content you create, upload, post, or transmit through the Services. You agree not to use the Services in any way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or disruptive.

You may not post or transmit content that is harassing, threatening, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, violent, sexually explicit, exploitative, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate. You may not impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, solicit commercial activity, distribute spam, or introduce malicious code or unauthorized software. You may not use the Services to promote illegal activities or to infringe the rights of others, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, review, remove, restrict, or moderate any content and to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these standards or that we determine, in our discretion, may harm users or the Services.

By submitting content to the Services, you grant Stars Align a worldwide, nonexclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Services. You represent that you have all necessary rights to grant this license.

All content, software, designs, trademarks, logos, graphics, and materials provided by Stars Align are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for personal, noncommercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or otherwise exploit our intellectual property without prior written consent.

By creating an account, you consent to receive communications from us relating to your account and the Services, including service announcements, security notices, transactional messages, and customer support communications. You may also receive marketing emails or notifications, which you may opt out of at any time through your account settings or the unsubscribe link provided. If you choose to opt in to text messages, you consent to receive messages sent using automated technology. Message and data rates may apply.

Certain features of the Services may require payment or subscription. When you purchase a subscription, you agree to the pricing and billing terms presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled prior to renewal.

If you purchase through Apple, Google, Stripe, or another third-party provider, your payment relationship is governed by that provider's terms. Cancelling your Stars Align account does not automatically cancel your subscription with that provider. You must manage cancellations directly through the applicable provider.

Except where required by law, fees are nonrefundable.

You may delete your account at any time through the app. We may suspend or terminate your access at our discretion for violations of these Terms, suspected misconduct, or safety concerns. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

Stars Align does not conduct criminal background checks or identity verification on all users. You are responsible for exercising caution and good judgment when interacting with others, whether online or in person. We make no representations regarding the conduct or compatibility of any user.

We respect intellectual property rights and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice to hello@starsalign.co with sufficient detail for us to investigate and respond.

Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy.

The Services and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stars Align disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Services or any particular results from their use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stars Align and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will not exceed the greater of one hundred dollars or the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stars Align from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. You waive any right to participate in class actions or class-wide proceedings. Arbitration will be administered by JAMS under its applicable rules. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this provision.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles, except that the arbitration provision is governed by federal law.
