Lauren is not your quintessential Taurus. There’s nothing slow or stubborn about her—instead, she seems pathologically ahead of the curve, with an almost psychic ability to predict trends before they surface. A true Mercurial Taurus, Lauren moves through the fashion zeitgeist like lightning, puncturing falsehood and delivering wet-hot-truths.

She’s the designer and visionary behind OGBFF, the DIY clothing brand that’s equal parts satirical, stylish, and subversive. Her cult-favorite pieces—like the instantly iconic “HOT PERSON AT WORK” and “Chronically Online” tees—blend razor-sharp cultural commentary with a bright, light aesthetic. It’s a brand for hot girls, but Lauren seems to glean a philosophical, future-facing glow to everything she does. She reads as someone who’s not just making clothes or content—she’ delivering a point of view, a worldview, a cultural thesis disguised as a crop top.

As a Taurus, her skills lie in curating and cultivating beautiful things, so it’s no surprise that she can pull together a look. But Lauren’s true gift lies in her ability to merge wit with wearability. Her designs speak meme fluently, while staying rooted in an eye-catching, dopamine-drenched palette. If you’ve ever been uplifted by a TikTok you didn’t even realize you needed, odds are it was hers. Lauren has directed TikToks for Doc Martens, Eartheater and I AM GIA. Naturally, I was curious to peek behind the astrological-veil and see what’s happening with Uranus (planet of rebellion, tech, and trend-setting) and Mercury (language, messages, and media) in her chart. Here’s what we learned from her Stars Align chart.

Stars Align: There’s this Sun square Uranus energy in your chart, which I feel so viscerally in your work—it’s like you have to create disruption, or you’ll combust. There’s a kind of electric, rebellious drive that pulses through everything you do. It’s not rebellion for rebellion’s sake—it’s almost like you’re hardwired to challenge the status quo with humor and clarity. It almost feels counterintuitive to Taurus energy, which is usually associated with stability. Are you an edgelord? Do you feel a compulsion to disrupt or rebel against what's expected of you creatively or personally?

Lauren: I guess in like a natural way. I definitely don't seek to be disruptive. I'm not a contrarian. I think naturally, my taste is just a little bit left of center, and I am confident enough to kind of let that shine through. I'm guided by my taste, which does not necessarily align with what is expected or popular or even relatable to people that I am around or close to.

Stars Align: Uranus is very much associated with trend-setting. Do you feel like your taste has a predictive quality to it? As if the things you gravitate towards become trendy in like a month or so?

Lauren: Yeah, I do sort of feel that. Historically, my taste has guided me towards something that was slightly ahead of the curve, and then a year or two later, it was something everyone was interested in.

Stars Align: Venus is kind of front and center in your chart—conjunct your Sun and your Midheaven (the part of your chart that rules your career and public image). Do you feel like you attract unusual circumstances?

Lauren: I have seen a lot in my life. It can be easily described as manifestation, but it's not happening in a way where I have to practice it. I can see very clearly that if there's something that I want in my life, once I decide that I want it—it will find its way to me. The exception is my love life, but with work, creativity, and creative relationships with people, I've been very guided by chance.

Stars Align: What are your favorite scents?

Lauren: I'm really new to the scent/fragrance game. I'm not so great at identifying scents. But I have this obsession with a fragrance called Atomic Rose, which I’ve started to see myself in. It's a sweet, feminine, rosy scent—but it's also complicated and kind of spicy and deep.

Stars Align: Favorite fabrics?

Lauren: I love silk and I love cashmere—which is probably a very Taurus answer. I love to be wrapped up in expensive, nice fabrics.

Stars Align: Favorite sounds?

Lauren: I really like calming sounds. I fall asleep to either brown noise or spa music. When I drive, a lot of the time I don't listen to anything. I have an intensely curated work playlist that’s a lot of video game soundtracks, Brian Eno... just proper ambient music. That’s mainly to offset the amount of things that are on my plate. But I also enjoy experimental electronic music.

Stars Align: You’ve also got a tight Sun–Mercury conjunction, which gives “speak it into existence” energy. It’s like your words carry charge, precision, prophecy. You say it, and suddenly, it's trending. What role does language play in your creative process—and your life in general?

Lauren: I am not someone who is well-read, and I'm not someone who is exceptionally good at describing things in a way that a writer would. But I am good at describing shared cultural sentiments. Which I think has value, randomly.

Stars Align: With your Sun in the 9th house, it feels like there’s always a bigger story humming underneath what you’re putting out. Even when it’s playful, there’s an edge of philosophy—like you’re offering a take, a mirror, or even a cultural prophecy in the form of a slogan. Do you see your work as a kind of philosophy or cultural commentary?

Lauren: No, I don't see it that way. It's not intentional, but I guess it kind of happens naturally. I don't take myself too seriously, and I try to find the humor in everything. I have a really lighthearted personality, and I think I let that shine through in my work. It's not revolutionary, but some people try to bring professionalism to their work—which is never something I really saw for myself.

Stars Align: How do you create beauty for yourself on a daily basis?

Lauren: “Create beauty.” That’s a good question. Well, don't look at my bedroom.I am toying around a little bit more with beauty than I have in the past. I think my appearance has arrived at a point recently where I am a bit more comfortable with traditional beauty and girliness, whereas in the past, I was way more interested in not looking like anyone else. But recently I’ve been growing my hair out, wearing tighter clothes, wearing heels on a daily basis. I've been wearing mascara, which are all things that would have been foreign to me two years ago.

Stars Align: What was the last thing you felt truly artistically inspired by?

Lauren: The first thing that comes to mind, because I saw it recently, was the John Rafman exhibition. Because it was funny. I obviously am very attracted to work that involves humor. But I’m also really obsessed with watching videos on YouTube from this dance group—I think they're based in Denmark—called Young Boy Dance Group. I'm obsessed with their videos, and I really enjoy watching them. I don't know. There's a lot on the Internet that I'm very moved by.

Stars Align: What’s the last adventure you took—physical, emotional, or otherwise?

Lauren: Going to Coachella was an adventure. I’m definitely someone who spends a lot of time alone and on my own schedule. I love to leave parties early and not stay out late. I always like to be in control of my schedule. So going to a festival in a different city and sharing my schedule with someone else was an adventure for me, because it was outside of my comfort zone. I had fun.

Stars Align: This is a funny question, but—your Saturn is in your sector of intimacy. Have you always gone for older men?

Lauren: Oh my God. Clocked. And they just keep getting older. The gap just keeps on increasing.

Stars Align: Yeah. And your Saturn is in Aries, so you probably don’t want anyone who would infringe on your independence. Aries is the most masculine go-getter, self-starter energy. So yeah, there's kind of a sense that you want to be with somebody who's like a fully formed, sovereign, more masculine character.

Lauren: Yeah, that's definitely true. I am really attracted to stable men, and a lot of times that comes with age. I definitely don't try to exclusively be attracted to older men, but yeah, it happens to me. My taste is definitely men who act like men.

Stars Align: What is your dream date?

Lauren: I love a date where I don't have to make decisions. Maybe a planned lunch or dinner, and then a brief walk followed by amazing conversation. I like an element of surprise. I’ve been on amazing dates before—and I’m just thinking about those.

Stars Align: What was your favorite?

Lauren: It was really fun to go to this one guy's house. He cooked for us and also instructed me on how he was making this meat—because I had mentioned that I wanted to learn. So it was cute and thoughtful. I think part of me felt like I was playing house a little bit, which is always kind of fun for me, because we were in his house and I was like, oh, we kind of fit really nice in here together. And then I never heard from him again.

Stars Align: Oh my god. Does astrology play a role in who you date?

Lauren: No, it doesn't. But the times that I will use astrology in dating is when I'm starting to feel confused. I’ll look up our sign compatibilities for answers. I'm like, “Oh my god, we haven't spoken in a couple days—am I compatible with Capricorn men? Am I never gonna hear from him again?”

Stars Align: Your descendant is in Aquarius. Whoever you date needs to be kind of a freak, like an oddball genius.

Lauren: I can see that. Well, because I need to be stimulated.

Stars Align: Your descendant is always the opposite of your ascendant—and you are a Leo Rising. Honestly, it makes perfect sense. You have that rare mix of being seen and self-directed—a kind of aesthetic leadership that feels both intentional and intuitive. You know how to present ideas in ways that are playful and powerful. There’s something about your presence that undeniably attracts attention—but in a way that feels authentic, not manufactured. Like, you are the art. Do you feel like you attract attention without even trying?

Lauren: I think that I do, but not because I try to. I think I've been told that I have a slightly intimidating presence. Even when I’m really enjoying being in someone’s company, they’ll leave and say, “Oh my god, I don’t think she likes me.” That has happened on numerous occasions. There definitely is something about my demeanor that is...

Stars Align: Regal?

Lauren: I don’t know. I have yet to figure it out. I know that sometimes my energy speaks for me and I'm kind of unaware of it. I could see that being intimidating.

Stars Align: Do you feel like you have a fixed philosophy or worldview?

Lauren: I'm a very positive person. I have very strict “no talking shit” boundaries in my life. I’m very strict about who I hang around. I really only enjoy being around people that share a positive outlook—and that kind of feels like a philosophy.

Stars Align: Do you have any spiritual practices that support your creativity or help you stay connected to yourself?

Lauren: I’ve journaled in the past, but it's not a consistent thing that I do. I think that allowing myself to be inspired by the people around me is something that I practice as a creative stimulant. I wouldn't be able to come up with anything interesting if I just isolated myself. I find so much inspiration from being out and listening to other people.

Stars Align: That’s beautiful. Like having faith in the people in front of you.

Okay—favorite restaurant?

Lauren: I’m not a foodie, but I love Houston’s in Pasadena. I’ve never had a bad experience there.

Stars Align: Anywhere you would go just for the ambiance?

Lauren: I'm not a regular anywhere. But if I find that a lot of hot people hang out at a certain spot, I will try to go back there. That’s happened with Stereoscope Coffee in Hollywood. I've been there a couple of times because I see hot people there.

Stars Align: I love that. What can we expect next from you?

Lauren: I’m working on expanding the brand even more. There’s a really cute cut-and-sew set coming soon. I’m growing out of being known as a T-shirt brand, which has been a long time coming. I just wanted to wait until I had something really great to put forth—and that’s finally happening. There’s a new drop pretty much every week in May.

Here’s where to find it. Lauren Schiller is a favorite Taurus of ours, as she doesn’t just design clothes—she designs cultural moments. She’s not waiting for the future; she’s already making it wearable.
